Under the section Android Devices, there should also be a node named ZTE Handset ADB Interface (with the same hardware id as a ZTE Speed). The common name for the ZTE Speed in Device Manager (at least for mine) is N9130 and that node is under the portable devices section, not USB devices. The hardware id for the ZTE Speed is "USB\VID_19D2&PID_0306" if you don't use that node in Device Manager to handle the the Update Driver action it will always fail, since the driver you are providing doesn't match the driver's hardware id possibilities. I thought that was my solution! But when I go navigate to the ZTE Driver folder to update the driver, windows says, "The best driver for your device is already installed" and it lists "USB Composite Device" as the current driver.
